THE PHOTOGRAPHER
ABOUT MESteve Clemons Photographer
Starting with film in high school till now I have always been involved in photography. It’s has been a lifelong hobby. Over the course of many years I have had all kinds of jobs, experiences and interests. Now I have retired, finishing my career in the technology field and can devote more time to photography. Over the years though, my participation in this hobby had slowly declined. Then I experienced a renewed enthusiasm after using my first digital camera many years ago. Now my camera seems to be with me always. I've always used Canons (film and digital), so the bulk of the shots displayed on this website are with Canon Cameras and lens.

My Journey to the Mountains
Took this shot of the front range one evening.

As fate would have it, our family moved to Colorado from the Midwest and provided me with photo opportunities throughout Colorado. Living at the foot of the Rocky Mountains gave me a diverse range of subjects. A multitude of interesting things from wildlife and our natural environment, to the urban maze we live in and events that occur within it. I still consider myself an amateur in the sense that I do it for my own pleasure, but I have taken on photo projects for others at times. In doing so, many people have commented on my images and enjoyed them. So I decided to share them with this website which is an evolving site that has grown from many prior sites. The galleries in this website hopefully will give you a small sense of my renewed enthusiasm for this art form. Please enjoy these and future images.

Well my adventure continues. Spending many years roaming Colorado it seems that I now have the opportunity to explore the Lone Star State as one of its residents. I've done auto races here, but give me time and hopefully I will capture new and beautiful images of Texas, my new home. America is a beautiful place from shore to shore, you just need to slow down and look. As I said above, it’s the photographer’s task to explore, photograph and share with others the multitude of interesting aspects in our world and our lives. We expose to others what we see or simply that which others might otherwise miss. It's a big state but here I come.

Update
Well Texas lasted 2 years with lockdowns, ice storms and limited mobility but now I'm back in Colorado. My photography has taken a big hit in the process.
COLORADO
Well after that brief stay in Texas it seems as though Colorado missed us and due to unforeseen events we have come back to Colorado which I hope is the last stop. No more moving I hope. I must admit that my brief stay in Texas was pleasant but with Covid there is still much I never got to see. Back in Colorado though, there is still many things that I never got to see thinking I would never move. So the adventure continues.
NEW
At present I have also added a page for books I have produced where you can link to a site called Heyzine, you can view the entire book (flipbook) online. Trying this site for now and may add more books as I produce. A large number are family albums but the four I now have listed or subject matter focused for everyone. A lot on my sites I know is older but after the couple of years of lockouts and limited travel I hope I can get the creative juices going again. As always enjoy and please add comments on the comments page, I do read them. At presents I would like to know if I should start deleting old content a start adding new or just add new?

I would also like to complement Weebly, this Do-It-Yourself Website Builder has been instrumental in my reaching out with my photos. I have used and recommended this site for many years and they seem to add more and more each year. With their ease of use I have recommended this site to people of all technical skill levels. If you can click and drag, you can build a site. Try them at Weebly.com. Thanks Weebly.

Thought I'd add my old site if you want to see the change, still bringing over images that I am redoing. This is all a process of improvement both to my website and my pictures. Everyday your learning new things to better present and show your work. enjoy, Steve
