Texas Motor Speedway is a race track located in the northernmost portion of Fort Worth, Texas and has been part of the Verizon IndyCar series since 1996. It's is a wild race, wheel to wheel racing under the lights (night) at speeds over 200 mph. These races in Texas have widely been regarded by media, fans, and competitors, as the best racing in the series. The side-by-side racing has produced some of the closest two-car and three-car finishes in series history. You can see the entire track from most of the seats in the stands. I've shot this race twice and had pit passes both times and came away with outstanding pictures.

SO IT BEGINS
Prior to race day all the teams must do qualifying runs to determine starting order. Fastest upfront so qualifying is fun to watch as well as practice where the drivers and engineers are setting up the cars.
Practicing and setting up the cars.
The races moves on into the evening and the lights come on, but still fast and furious.
All in all this was my first night race and enjoyed it immensely. Hope you enjoy these images from Texas (2018 and 2017)
